Terms of use
Version 2026-10-11 · effective from October 11, 2026
These terms govern the use of Alter Platform. Please read them before registering. The community guidelines form part of these terms. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.
1. Provider and scope
Alter Platform is operated by Anton Nazarchuk, Welserstraße 3 87463 Dietmannsried Deutschland ("we"). These terms apply to the use of the website and all features of Alter Platform by registered users ("you").
Users' own differing terms do not apply.
2. What Alter Platform offers
Alter Platform helps people find collaborators for projects and work together. This includes in particular: a profile with questionnaire, recommendations of other members with a compatibility score, projects and ideas, teams and invitations, friendships, messages with file attachments, notifications, tasks and roadmaps, and optional AI features.
Use is free of charge. There are currently no paid features; if we introduce any, separate terms will apply to which you must agree separately.
No guarantee of success: Recommendations, compatibility scores and AI results are aids. We do not guarantee that you will find suitable collaborators, that a project will succeed, or that work, employment, income or investment will result.
Agreements between users: Alter Platform only puts people in touch. We are not a party to arrangements between users – for example about collaboration, pay, company shares or rights to work results – and we do not check other users' details or reliability. We recommend making important arrangements in writing.
3. Registration and conclusion of the contract
You must be at least 16 years old. Each person may have only one account; accounts are not transferable.
How the contract is concluded: You enter your e-mail address and password (or choose sign-in with Google), accept these terms, confirm the minimum age and click "Create account" – or, with Google sign-in, confirm the terms in the app. This concludes the contract of use. Until you submit, you can correct your entries in the fields at any time.
We store which version of these terms you accepted and when. The current version is always available at /legal/terms; you can save or print it with your browser. The contract can be concluded in German, English, Ukrainian or Russian.
Keep your login details secret and tell us immediately if you suspect misuse of your account.
4. Your information
The information in your profile must be true and must not mislead anyone, in particular about your identity, qualifications or experience. Keep it up to date. Do not enter other people's personal data without their consent.
5. Rules of conduct
You comply with applicable law and the community guidelines. In particular, the following are prohibited: harassment, threats and incitement; fraud, deception and impersonating someone else; spam and mass unwanted messages or invitations; illegal content; circumventing suspensions, blocks or security measures; automated reading (scraping) or automated creation of accounts; attacks on Alter Platform's technology.
6. Projects, teams and invitations
Whoever creates a project ("founder") is responsible for its description and decides on invitations, tasks and – for AI features – on the use of the results. Invitations are permitted only within the settings of the person invited.
Whoever joins a project becomes visible to the other members as a team member. Alter Platform is not the employer, client or contracting party of team members.
If a founder deletes their account, the project is deleted with all its tasks and the roadmap.
7. Messages, requests and blocks
Whether people who are not your friends may message you is up to you in your settings. First messages from non-friends arrive as a request in a separate folder. You can block other users at any time; they can then no longer message you, invite you or send you requests.
Respect a "no": someone who declines a request or blocks you must not be pressured through other channels or new accounts.
8. Your content and rights of use
Content you post on Alter Platform (profile texts, photos, projects, ideas, messages, files) remains yours. You grant us a simple, free right to store it, process it technically (e.g. resize or encrypt it) and make it available to the people you intended it for – solely in order to operate Alter Platform. This right ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others have already received (e.g. messages sent, for as long as their chat exists) and backups until they are overwritten.
You post only content for which you hold the necessary rights and do not infringe the rights of third parties (e.g. copyright, trade mark or personality rights).
9. AI features
AI features are optional and run only at your explicit request. Their results are generated by a machine, labelled as AI-generated and may be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. They are not legal, tax, financial or other professional advice. Check them before relying on them; you make the decisions about people and tasks.
Do not enter third parties' personal data or trade secrets that should not be sent to the AI provider in project descriptions used for AI features. Which data is sent is explained in the privacy policy.
We may limit the number of AI requests.
10. Notices, moderation and measures
Notices: Anyone can report content using the notice form, even without an account. We confirm receipt if an e-mail address is given, review every notice carefully, impartially and without arbitrariness, and communicate the outcome.
How we moderate: Content is not checked in advance. We review on notice or on our own initiative. Moderation decisions are made by people; we do not use automated tools for detection or decisions.
Possible measures for violations of the law, these terms or the community guidelines: hiding or removing content (ideas, projects), temporary suspension of the account, termination and deletion of the account. We choose measures proportionately: we take into account the seriousness, frequency and consequences of the violation, whether it was intentional, and what the person concerned says about it. In serious cases (e.g. criminal offences, danger to persons) we act immediately.
Reasons: We inform the person concerned of every measure with reasons: what we found, which rule or law we rely on, whether a notice prompted it, and which remedies are available.
Objection: You can object to a decision within six months by e-mail to alterplatform@gmail.com. We will then review it again by a person and tell you the result. Independently of this, you can complain to the Digital Services Coordinator (Bundesnetzagentur) and take legal action.
Anyone who frequently submits manifestly unfounded notices or objections, or frequently provides manifestly illegal content, may, after a prior warning, be excluded from the feature concerned for a reasonable period.
11. Term, termination and deletion
The contract runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time without notice by deleting your account under Settings → Account. This deletes your profile, your projects (with tasks and roadmap), ideas, friendships and all your chats – for the other person too. You can download a copy of your data beforehand.
We may terminate the contract by e-mail with four weeks' notice, for example if we discontinue Alter Platform. The right to terminate without notice for good cause remains unaffected, in particular in the case of serious or repeated violations of these terms.
12. Availability and changes to the service
We strive for uninterrupted operation but do not owe any particular availability. Maintenance, security updates and disruptions beyond our control may cause interruptions.
We develop Alter Platform further and may change, add or discontinue features where this is reasonable for you – for example for technical, legal or security reasons. If essential features are dropped, we will inform you in advance.
13. Rights in Alter Platform
Alter Platform's software, design, texts and brand are protected. You may use Alter Platform within these terms; you receive no further rights.
14. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee given.
For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation – an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely – and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
We are liable for the content and conduct of other users in accordance with the statutory provisions, in particular Art. 6 DSA, but not for arrangements between users.
These limitations also apply to our employees and agents.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms with effect for the future if the service, the law or case law changes. We will inform you of the changes in the app and, where possible, by e-mail. The new version applies to you only once you accept it in the app. Until then you can download your data and delete your account, but cannot continue using the other features. If you do not agree, you can end the contract at any time by deleting your account.
16. Applicable law and dispute resolution
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, you keep the protection of that country's mandatory provisions.
If you have a problem, please contact us first (alterplatform@gmail.com); we will try to find a solution.
17. Final provisions
Should any provision be invalid, the rest of the contract remains valid; the statutory provision takes the place of the invalid one.
These terms are available in German, English, Ukrainian and Russian. In case of discrepancies between the language versions, the German version prevails.
