Cookies and browser storage

Alter Platform uses no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies and embeds no third-party content that transfers data when a page loads. We store in your browser only what is strictly necessary for the service you requested. That is why we need no consent and show no cookie banner.
1. Legal basis
Under § 25(1) TDDDG, information may in principle be stored on or read from your device only with your consent. This does not apply where the storage is strictly necessary for us to provide a service you explicitly requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). All entries listed below fall under this exception. The related processing of personal data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
2. What we store

3. No third-party content
We serve fonts ourselves; no requests are sent to Google Fonts or other services when you open Alter Platform. We store profile photos ourselves. Links to other services (e.g. Telegram) contact that service only when you click them. During sign-in with Google, Google's rules apply on Google's pages.
4. Control
When you sign out we delete the session key from your browser. You can also delete all entries at any time in your browser settings; you will then be signed out and the language will be reset.
5. Changes
Should we ever want to use technologies that are not strictly necessary (e.g. audience measurement), we will ask for your consent beforehand and use them only afterwards. You could then withdraw it at any time just as easily as you gave it.
